MCA-CET is a state-level entrance exam directed by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. MCA-CET is conducted for admission to full-time 2-year postgraduate course such as Master of Computer Applications (MCA) offered at state university-affiliated colleges in Maharashtra. MCA-CET is a 90-minute exam with 100 questions where 2 marks are given for each correct answer and 0.5 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer. The difficulty level of MBA-CET ranges from easy to moderate and the mode of exam is CBT (Computer Based Test). Hence, it becomes imperative to seek a balance between speed and accuracy while attempting the test. Seats are allotted based on rank in the merit list and choice filled by the candidate in the CAP (Centralised Admission Procedure) round. The syllabus of MBA-CET consists of Mathematics & Statistics, Logical/Abstract reasoning, English Comprehension & Verbal Ability, and Computer Concepts. These questions may not be segregated into sections. They may be jumbled up as well. Hence, students need to be prepared accordingly. Somaiya Institute in Management Studies Research Mumbai, MAEER’s Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Pune, Indira Institute of Management Pune, Mumbai Education Trust’s Institute of Computer Science Mumbai, Thakur Institute of Management Studies Career Development Research Mumbai, Sinhgad Technical Education Society’s Sinhgad Institute of Management Pune, etc. Normally, MCA-CET aspirants also take up other important MCA entrances such as NIMCET, BHU-PET, BITS MCA Entrance Exam, CUET, etc. These exams are of higher or lower difficulty level than MBA-CET. These exams do not have questions on Visual Reasoning.
